Father on the Seattle Waterfront, 2011

I love how the evening’s golden light hits the water and Father from Louise Bourgeois‘ “Father and Son” (2004-2006) sculpture. This image only capture one of the two sculpture’s subjects. The nude vulnerability between a father and son, deftly obscured most of the time by the timing of the fountain’s sprays, made this compelling piece the subject of controversy. It can be found on the Seattle waterfront by Myrtle Edwards Park. Summer 2011.
